DANCEMASTER VIOLIN - POCHETTE, BAROQUE, ~1700





A well preserved dancemaster violin, Pochette, early baroque, around 1700, in playable condition. The rosewood body and neck interspersed with ivory, no visible repairs, the top also in good condition, good ebony fingerboard and boxwood pegs, nicely carved flamed maple scroll, ivory tailpiece. Overall length 45 cm, length of body 27.5 cm, scale 24.5 cm, depth 3 cm, middle bout 4 cm.
